Technical Sales Representative - Ireland

Location

We are looking for a passionate and driven Technical Sales Representative to manage established existing customer accounts and develop new business opportunities within the region. This is a field-based role focused on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing technical expertise to drive sales growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Visit clients and potential customers to identify needs and promote Mitutoyo products and services.

· Be able to work individually and within a team environment.

· Develop a strong understanding of metrology principles and applications.

· Generate and qualify sales leads, working alongside specialists where appropriate.

· Liaise with internal teams to follow up on opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.

· Prepare quotations, negotiate with clients, and close sales to meet or exceed targets.

· Maintain accurate sales records and reports using company IT and CRM systems.

· Support exhibitions, product demonstrations, and marketing events as needed.

· Collaborate with the Finance team on payment and client account queries.

· Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding pricing, availability, and terms.

 

About You

· Experience in a technical sales or field sales role (preferably within measurement, engineering, manufacturing, or industries).

· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

· Technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex product ranges.

· Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own territory.

· Full driving licence and willingness to travel within your sales region.

Field Service Engineer - Sheffield, UK

Working independently representing Mitutoyo at Customer premises, this role supports the field service team. The role is managed from our Andover HQ Service centre and covers installation, service, repair, and calibration of our precision measuring equipment.

 

This is a field-based role focusing mainly on our customer base around Sheffield, although travel further afield maybe required as well as occasional overnight stays.

 

Responsibilities

Visit customer sites to:

  • Install Mitutoyo precision measuring equipment.
  • Complete service and calibration work.
  • Undertake trouble shooting including fault-finding, diagnosis and rectification.

 

Key requirements

  • Minimum of HNC/BTEC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience.
  • Effective communicator, organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Full valid driving license.

 

Desirable requirements

  • Experience of fault finding on mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Have good interpersonal skills.
