Technical Sales Representative - Midlands, England

We are looking for a passionate and driven Technical Sales Representative to manage established existing customer accounts and develop new business opportunities within the region.

This is a field-based role focused on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing technical expertise to drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Visit clients and potential customers to identify needs and promote Mitutoyo products and services.
Be able to work individually and within a team environment.
Develop a strong understanding of metrology principles and applications.
Generate and qualify sales leads, working alongside specialists where appropriate.
Liaise with internal teams to follow up on opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
Prepare quotations, negotiate with clients, and close sales to meet or exceed targets.
Maintain accurate sales records and reports using company IT and CRM systems.
Support exhibitions, product demonstrations, and marketing events as needed.
Collaborate with the Finance team on payment and client account queries.
Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding pricing, availability, and terms.

About You

Experience in a technical sales or field sales role (preferably within measurement, engineering, manufacturing, or industries).
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex product ranges.
Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own territory.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel within your sales region.

Warehouse Assistant - Andover, UK

We are looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Assistant to join our team at our UK Headquarters.

Working under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Assistant will support the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including receiving and storing goods, order picking and despatch, stock control, deliveries and collections using Company vehicles, and maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

The role involves manual handling and the operation of warehouse equipment where required. Appropriate training, instruction and risk assessments will be provided in accordance with company procedures and applicable health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check and store all incoming goods inwards.
Identify and report damaged, incomplete or missing goods to the Warehouse Manager.
Load and unload goods safely, using appropriate warehouse equipment, including counterbalance and Aisle Master forklift trucks where required and where the individual is appropriately trained and authorised.
Picking, packing, and despatching outgoing goods accurately and efficiently.
Prepare goods for international deliveries in accordance with relevant company procedures and documentation requirements.
Undertake occasional deliveries and collections using a company vehicle where required and where appropriately authorised and insured.
Assist with stocktaking activities, including counting, checking and recording stock accurately.
Maintain the warehouse in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
Follow company health and safety procedures, including safe manual-handling practices and the safe use of warehouse equipment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and provide support to other members of the warehouse team as required.
Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by the line manager.

Person specification

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution or similar environment.
Ability to undertake the essential physical activities associated with the role, including handling, moving, stacking and carrying goods safely, with appropriate equipment or assistance where required.
Self-motivated with good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.
Competent IT skills appropriate to warehouse and stock-control activities.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
Ability to follow health and safety procedures and instructions.
A full UK driving licence where required for the delivery and collection duties associated with the role.

Working Environment

The role involves working in a warehouse environment and includes:
Regular movement and handling of goods, lifting, carrying and stacking as required by operational needs, including manual handling of items weighing up to approximately 20kg.
Working on warehouse floors for extended periods.
Operating warehouse equipment where appropriately trained and authorised.
Working in accordance with manual-handling assessments, safe systems of work and health and safety procedures.
