The REVO system uses synchronised motion and 5-axis measurement technology to minimise the dynamic his is achieved by letting the REVO-2 head do the fast demanding motion while the CMM moves in a linear fashion.

 

The use of a flexible tip-sensing probe further adds to the system's accuracy and performance. The removable probe system, used in conjunction with a low cost changer, provides added system flexibility.

Superior build quality

Mitutoyo CMMs employ a proven robust construction that also provides environmental protection to the internal components upon which accuracy and durability depend. Mitutoyo manufactures its own high precision glass scales  that guarantee ultimate performance over a wide temperature range.

 

These scales are produced nine metres underground where temperature, vibration and humidity variations can be kept to an absolute minimum in order to provide the tightly controlled environment necessary for the manufacturing process. And, unlike fixed scales that are often left open to the environment and deform with the CMM structure, Mitutoyo’s precision glass scales are enclosed for optimum protection and attached using a kinematic floating design to isolate them from the CMM.

 

 

Exceptional performance

Mitutoyo CMMs are renowned for their high accuracy which, due to substantial build quality, is delivered with high acceleration enabling significantly higher throughput compared with less stable, low-acceleration designs. Maximum acceleration of the MiStar is 2,700 mm/s2 which provides ultra-fast cycle-times, dramatically reducing measuring time and cost.

The best thermal compensation for highest accuracy

The CRYSTA-Apex V has true scale and workpiece thermal compensation, with three temperature sensors mounted directly on the scales and two workpiece sensors. Accurate thermal compensation is only possible over a wide temperature range when temperature sensors are attached to all scales and workpiece.

 

Furthermore each Mitutoyo CMM is adjusted in a laboratory environment to guarantee accuracy, which is not possible in uncontrolled conditions.
