A unique museum of precision measurement consisting of the Numata Commemorative Hall and the Measuring Instrument Hall. The former traces the history of Mitutoyo since its establishment in 1934, while the latter features the evolution of precision measurement around the globe. The items in the museum’s collection have been certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry as forming part of the nation’s Heritage of Industrial Modernization.

Mitutoyo's history as a pioneer in precision measuring instruments has always been at the forefront of the times.
This is a history museum for measuring instruments. Numerous instruments are on display, as well as documents featuring the philosophy and history of Mitutoyo, which extends back more than 90 years. There are around 2500 items in this facility, most of which are actual objects providing important historical evidence.
